Company Partner Intern

Daymaker is looking for summer interns interested in marketing & sales to help us form company partnerships. For context, Daymaker is a charitable giving platform that helps employees connect more deeply with those around them through intentional acts of giving and service. We run giving campaigns where employees can read about specific under-resourced children in the community and purchase gifts from individual kids' wishlists. Between campaigns we offer the potential for volunteer service and/or deeper financial commitments to a given child (e.g., sponsoring musical instrument lessons). Our offering for 2020 includes a COVID-response campaign 'Apart, but Together', a Back to School drive, and a Holiday giving opportunity.

The challenge to solve:

We face a paradoxical environment: like never before, companies need ways to help employees connect meaningfully with their communities and give back as they return to work and a semblance of "normalcy." Daymaker is the perfect product to facilitate that connection and to help put some love into our world in a time when we all need it. And yet, it's a difficult season for company leaders to entertain taking on a new vendor and launching a new initiative. We have a broad list of companies with which we'd like to partner; the interns would be putting together account-based marketing plans for how to structure and launch partnerships. They would help research companies to identify decision makers, figure out account-specific marketing strategies, create collateral materials and social media content, and assist with pitching potential companies.

The logistics:

  • Role would be remote
  • Looking for team of 3 to facilitate collaboration and more enjoyable environment for remote team
  • Intern would report to Brent Macon, '12 - we would have daily check-ins and multiple extended working sessions weekly
  • Duration is summer, but if there's a good mutual fit there is definite potential for full-time post-grad
  • Interested candidates should email [email protected] with a hello and your resume. Please record a 1-2 minute video sharing about yourself, why you’re interested/would be a good fit, and anything else that excites you or is relevant for us to know. You can upload to private Vimeo or Youtube page and include in your email. Thanks!
